Welcome to RidgeTop Reptiles, we specialize in only one thing... Quality!

Quality comes first in everything we do, whether its our animals or our customer service. We can continually guarantee this kind of excellence because, as a small reptile breeding business, we are able to pay greater attention to the details.

It is our belief that quality comes in many forms and it is our goal to pass on that quality to our customers. So what sets us apart from everyone else?

The Quality of our Animals

Our goal is to produce some of the finest animals with the best genetics available, therefore we focus on selectively breeding quality.... not quantity. We will not sell any kinked or genetically inferior animals. This ensures that you receive animals that are guaranteed to be healthy, well established, and feeding. RidgeTop Reptiles will also save you time and money because our snakes are guaranteed to be feeding before they leave our facilities, and we prove it with our online feeding records in our clutch database. This saves you from throwing money away on uneaten feeders, and the time needed to get your new snake feeding.

The Quality of our Information

We also believe that part of quality customer service is knowledge. We do our best to provide you with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision about our animals before the sale. We are the FIRST & currently the only breeder that offers you a database of information. Ever wonder what the parents look like to the babies you see for sale, or what clutches they have produced in the past? We will show you in our RTR Database.  We will also show you complete information on all our snake clutches in one location. We have constructed a Clutch Database to showcase our clutches and also to provide valuable information to our customers about our babies. In the clutch database we show you photos and the genetics of the parents, photos of every sibling, pairing data from our breeders journal, a feeding chart for the hatchlings, and we sometimes even have some video available of the hatchlings.

08/25/09... Another site update... The Clutch Database is now online. We are the first to offer you this much information online about our clutches and our breeding operation. Within the clutch database you will find every clutch that we prodcue starting with 2009. In each clutch we will document the breeders and their genetics along with the specifics of the clutch itself. You will also be able to see each and every sibling from that clutch. Under each one of the breeders photos is a link to their breeders data page. On this page you can find even more info about our breeders and even what clutches they helped produce. If you have purchased a baby snake from RidgeTop Reptiles starting in 2009 all you need to know is the snakes ID number, which can be found on your invoice. From here you will be able to locate what clucth your baby is from and then be able to view all the siblings related to your new baby snake.

08/25/09... Clutch #3 is starting to pip. I have 5 little Okeetee heads popping out. Photos coming soon.

08/24/09... Another site update... The Breeders Database is now online. Here you will find all our past, current, and future breeders (Still adding current breeders). We will document the genetics of each animal along with who produced it. We will also show you the clutches that each of the breeders have helped produce along with all the hatchlings in those clutches. This section will always be a work in project so check back often. Check it out!

08/20/09... Another site update... we now have a newsletter to keep you updated. The newsletter will be our way of letting you know what is new with RidgeTop Reptiles. The primary use of the newsletter will be to notify you of updates on the site. These updates could be anything from major additions to the site (new section), added journal entries (either on the main page or breeders log), new photos or videos, and current sales. You can sign up above in the main section.

08/19/09... Even more changes for the site. I now have a Breeders Log page complete with journal entries, baby photos, and even video of the babies. Check it out.

08/16/09... Wooo Hooo... Looks like we are gonna have a nice clutch of amels out of this pairing (clutch #2). Photos have been posted below. The normals turn out real nice due to the Okeetee influence and they are also het for Amel.

08/14/09... My clutch of eggs from my Anery het amel x Okeetee het amel pairing are starting to pip. Babies coming soon.

08/12/09... It's official. We have Snow Corn babies. Baby photos coming soon.

08/11/09... Back on May 22nd I was aksed to ID some eggs that had been unearthed by an animal at the pond. They appeared to be Common Snapping Turtle eggs. I figured they didnt stand a chance since they had been unearthed, but decided to give it my best shot. I set them up and started incubating them. Today... I have a hatchling Snapper!!

08/09/09... My clutch of eggs from my Snow x Snow pairing are starting to pip. Snow babies coming soon.

07/05/09... Since I have 2.0 Anery Bloodreds I decided to put one in with an adult female Amel that I just got. Im not really expecting anything from the pairing, but I thought I would give it a try.

07/01/09... Slight setback. I bought a pair of Anery Bloodred Cornsnakes. I put them together this year and wasnt lucky enough to get eggs. So after I cleaned cages yesterday I decided to probe them. Turns out I have 2.0 instead of 1.1. Looks like my Anery Bloodred project is gonna be on hold a while.

06/24/09... My Anery Bloodred Corn does not look like she is preggo... even after two attempts with a male. I have re-introduced the male for the last time this year. If she does not go... then I gess I wont have any Anery Bloods this year.

06/07/09... I have decided to focus more on my snake breeding projects and less on the lizards. RTR will no longer have a Bearded Dragon breeding program and all breeders have been sold. I am also narrowing down the number of Leopard Geckos that we will be breeding so check the available page for some proven breeders to start your own breeding operation with. At this time... RTR will still offer Leopard Geckos along with our many species of snakes.

05/26/09... Its been a long time coming, but I finally got all the carpet up in the reptile facility and I now have the tile floor completely done. It is sooo much nicer than the carpet and a lot easier to keep clean. Once I get the trim work done and finish with the current round of building new racks then I will get some photos uploaded of the new facility.

08/13/09...HSUS is the Enemy!
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is the Enemy of the Reptile Nation! They prey on the uneducated. They use their money to gain favor in Washington, DC. They pluck at the heartstrings of the animal loving American public. Their message is misleading. They count on their name creating confusion and implying that they have something to do with local Humane Societies. They do not take care of puppies and kittens. They have nothing to do with your local Humane Society. They are the most powerful Animal Rights (AR) group on the planet. Their agenda is to end ALL animal ownership and use. They oppose hunting, fishing, livestock farming, bio-medical research and pets... including traditional pets. They raise money by targeting students and senior citizens with photographs of abused animals and implying that the money they raise goes to the care of these animals. HSUS DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF ANIMALS! 90% of the funds they raise go toward salaries, administration and lobbying for the AR agenda of ending ALL animal ownership and use. HSUS is extremely well funded and is dedicated to destroying the Reptile Nation. They hope to use the current interest in invasive species and the Burmese Python as a tool to destroy our community. They do not operate using facts or science. They are spreading misinformation, wild exaggerations and emotionally charged rhetoric in an effort to use current legislative proposals to end the trade in reptiles. Do not let them succeed. Help USARK to expose them for what they are... EXTREMISTS! HSUS is the Mortal Enemy of the Reptile Nation!

08/11/09...UPDATE: USARK/ Senator Nelson S373 Meeting
Many of you know that USARK attended a meeting at Senator Bill Nelson's office in West Palm Beach last Friday to discuss S373 "The Python Ban". The USARK delegation was led by Andrew Wyatt and consisted of Captain Ernie Jillson, Miami-Dade Fire & Rescue (MDFR) Venom Response Unit (Venom One), Captain Chuck Siefert, MDFR Venom One, Shawn Heflick and Greg Graziani. Wyatt said "The meeting went about as good as we could have hoped for. They heard our message and it was well received." The USARK message was one of respect and cooperation for Senator Nelson's position on the protection of the Everglades. A willingness by Senator Nelson's office to work with USARK and Protect the Reptile Community was given in return. USARK will work with Senator Nelson's office during the August recess to craft language that will serve the Senators goals, as well as protect the trade in ALL pythons. We would like to thank Senator Nelson and his Chief of Staff for holding this meeting in good faith with USARK's Florida herpers.

08/05/09...Senator Nelson- S373 Update
USARK has secured a meeting with Senator Bill Nelson's office for Friday August 7, 2009 in West Palm Beach. We will be asking Senator Nelson to understand that S373, the Python Ban, will hurt thousands of his constituents and create significant problems for the entire United States if passed as written. If passed as written S373 will BAN the IMPORT, EXPORT and INTERSTATE COMMERCE of ALL Pythons. This is not a Florida issue. It is a federal bill in the US Senate. This is about the BAN of ALL pythons nationwide... from ball pythons on up. We believe that this bill will move in September following the August recess. The only question is what Senator Nelson might do to amend the bill prior to that time. We are optimistic that he will listen to our well thought out position. You can be sure that USARK will fight tooth and nail to defend the ENTIRE python community.

07/29/09...HR2811 Passes Full Committee
As promised by Committee Staff, Rep. Rooney's Staff and Rep. Meek's Staff, HR2811 was amended to limit the scope of the bill to only two snakes. Staff renewed their commitment to work with USARK over the August recess to hammer out language for an amendment prior to a vote on the House Floor allowing the captive bred trade of the affected snakes to continue. USARK is dedicated to making sure all the Burm and Afrock breeders will be able to continue to operate their businesses. We will work hard to preserve your place as a legal business concern within the Reptile Nation Family.

07/29/09...UPDATE: HR2811 Amendment
House Judiciary Committee Staff and bill Sponsors agrees with USARK position to limit the scope of HR2811 with a proposal for an amendment. All but two pythons will be completely exempted from the bill. The exception will be the IMPORT of the Burmese Python and the African Rock Python. Further, Committee staff has committed to work with USARK over the August legislative break to craft language to allow the commercial trade in captive bred Burmese Pythons and African Rock Pythons to continue. This is a huge victory for USARK and the Reptile Nation!
